About
What this archive is
An unofficial fan archive of the records the Shirelles made between 1958 and the end of their Scepter contract, and of the label those records paid for.
The site is written and maintained by enthusiasts. It has no connection to the Shirelles, to any surviving member, to their families or estates, or to any record label; nothing here is authorised by any of them, and no such claim is made or implied.
Every image on the site is generated. Nothing is a photograph of the group, a press shot, a label scan or a sleeve — the pictures show the rooms and machinery the records passed through, and the group are never depicted. Sleeves and labels are described in the writing where they matter and never reproduced.
No lyrics are quoted. Songs are described. Living people are named only for documented work — recordings, credits and litigation that is a matter of record.
There is nothing for sale here.
Every page on the site is listed on one index.
